  • Design: one KiCad project in src/ with schematic and PCB layout.
  • Checks: make erc runs the electrical rule check, make drc the design rule check; make test runs both and is the merge-blocking test stage.
  • Tool version: KiCad runs from a pinned Docker image, so every developer and CI job uses the same version, and a bump is one line.

Electronics

  • Structure: the KiCad project in src/ and the manual test template in test/manual/; no BDD, since a schematic has no automated behavior to test.
  • Release: the release uploads the production files a fabricator needs, Gerber files, drill data, BOM, and placement, merged into one export with the columns of JLCPCB and PCBWay, instead of a container image.
  • Assistant: a KiCad MCP server lets the assistant read and edit the design; a skill assigns sourcing data to components.
